We are a bible believing non-profit. We believe in the calling of the Almighty God where He told us that "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress." James 1:27

Accountability
Bright Africa Foundation is committed to providing transparent and effective help to those in need. We take accountability seriously, performing project evaluation and monitoring to ensure we are making the greatest impact. With our American team we also focus on the importance of communication and strong board governance.
BAF's accounts are independently audited in accordance with national standards on auditing, which require us to comply with ethical requirements and ensure accuracy in our financial statements.
As we grow from a non-profit to a 501 (c)(3), our records will be public record.

Transforming Lives
EQUIP. TRANSFORM. INSPIRE.
Ensuring a good education, providing medical insurance, coming together for community projects, a wide variety of skills building, and discipleship are key routes to equip, transform, and inspire our children to be encouraged to rise from poverty.
In the early years of a child's life, it is critical for the brain and body to develop healthy. Particular points are:
- To create a loving and responsive environment
- Give children nutritious food and clean water
- Protect from common illnesses and violence
- Provide opportunities for play and early learning

Transforming Lives
Through Child Sponsorship
For just $40 a month, you will build a life long bond with a child while giving them benefits that create positive changes for the entire family. You will receive letters and an updated photo of your child three times a year through direct mail. You are able to write letters and send photos too. To visit is also an excellent way to meet people, explore the beautiful country, and most importantly spend quality time with your sponsored child.
Our giving page has a medical expenses donation opportunity to help offset any additional costs not covered by their health plan.
The Obstacle
Rwandan children live in extreme poverty, many of which cannot afford to go to school. Without education their lives are constrained by a recurring cycle of poverty and unemployment with few, if any, opportunities to break the cycle.
We need the generosity of sponsors just like you, and church ministry partners to help give a hand up to equip them with the right skills to become independent.
Our Solution
Children in the Bright Africa Foundation Sponsorship Program receive benefits to become healthy, strong, educated, and capable young adults. You will change their lives through your generosity, breaking through the clutches of poverty, while building a relationship they will cherish forever.

Visit Rwanda, Africa
Mission trips to Rwanda are unique and a life-changing experience! You will witness firsthand the difference our charity work is making in the lives of those living in poverty.
A visit to see the mission God's people are doing through the sponsorship program is truly an experience that will change you. Rwanda has worked hard to heal since 1994's genocide against the Tutsi. The people are friendly, the children will smile, wave, and yell muzungu (moo-zoon-goo), meaning person of no color, all while running after you to stop and visit with them.
It is our hope to impact our communities, to help them develop a closer walk with Jesus through our acts of service, church worship time, and the quality time spent with the families.
When visitors arrive, BAF Rwandan staff has planned events, outings, and also home visits with your sponsor children. You will get to see what meets physical and spiritual needs of the people, while building meaningful relationships.
