Ezra's House Repair

Flood Recovery

Ezra, a beneficiary of our program lost their home due to recent flood

On Sunday 14th 2024, one of the families we support (Ezra’s family) their house was struck by rain and the entire front wall fell down. In the middle of the night as the family was sleeping Ezra wanted to go outside to urinate and told his dad to go with him outside. When they woke up, they heard an uncertain sound and when they checked they found out that the wall was falling. Emmanuel (the dad) told his mom to wake up so that the wall doesn’t fall on her and her young sister who was there to visit.

Today the house is all in good condition, and the family is all safe and will return to it on Sunday.

Repaired quickly before the next storm

They called us right away, and we told them that we were going to assist them the next morning. One of the ladies supported by Baf promised the family trees and we provided the money to pay the constructors. $30 was spent to pay the constructors and their assistants.

You can see in this picture the new back wall is half completed.
